Meadow Song
Sleeps 4

Meadow Song

This attractive log cabin is situated at the top of the meadow and affords a dramatic view “down valley.” In days gone by, one could observe cattle grazing in the distance. Because this cabin's footprint is a little different than the other loft cabins, it has a slightly larger kitchen and dining area.

Trails End

This charming Black Hills loft cabin has a redwood deck on the front that looks across the meadow and up the “draw” — a popular path for deer in the mornings and early evenings. It also has a second redwood deck on the back of the cabin that overlooks the popular Mickelson Hiking and Biking Trail. At various times of the year, one may be “serenaded” by frogs gathered around the spring below.

Postmaster's House

The latest addition to our ranch accommodations — a charming, warm, and inviting two-bedroom country home on the southern edge of the property. Our only rental that offers WIFI and a large flat-screen television with surround sound. Features a wood-burning fireplace, a roomy kitchen with granite countertops, and a bathroom with a large bathtub and separate shower. Original Badger Hole

The historic “Original Badger Hole” — once home to Charles “Badger” Clark (1883–1957), South Dakota's first poet laureate and a pioneer of cowboy poetry whose work has been recorded by Johnny Cash, Emmylou Harris, Bob Dylan, and countless others. Lovingly restored, this one-room cabin is charmingly furnished in a western theme and features an environmentally friendly composting toilet in a period-style outhouse, a wood-burning pot-bellied stove for heat, and old-fashioned wall-mounted oil lamps for evening light. A truly romantic and unique experience for those who wish to "turn back the clock" or try "off the grid" living.
